Ben Forbes
Director
Ben is the Director and founder of BF Economics. He has over 17 years of experience as an economist advising on mergers, market investigations, and competition litigation (including class actions).
Recent work in New Zealand has included advising private clients and the Commerce Commission on mergers and potential misuse of market power allegations. International work has focused on competition litigation and class actions in the technology, utilities, transport, financial services, and telecoms sectors, alongside more than 25 UK mergers and CMA/FCA market investigations covering retail banking, credit information, and wholesale insurance broking.
Prior to founding BF Economics, Ben was a Director in the competition economics practice of AlixPartners UK LLP in London. Ben started his career at the New Zealand Treasury.
